Unit 4

Vocabulary

Good moring,everyone .I’m Lu Laidi from Lintan Middle School.Now please allow me to talk about vocabulary from unit4.

First: Status and function    Vocabulary is an imporant part in a unit. It can expand students' range of vocabulary .It is helpful for the Ss to understand and write English sentences well .

Second:  Teaching  Methods In this lesson , I'll use “Communicative teaching method”and “Task­-based teaching method ”, I'll give the Ss some tasks and arrange some activities.Such as :talking、guessing games and so on.

Third:Teaching aids: To get good effects , I'll use some pictures.

Fourth: Teaching aims : 1、Knowledge objects: ①、To make the Ss recognize names of different animals . ②、To study the new words . ③、To finish some exercises. 2、Ability objects ①、To develop the Ss' abilities of speaking ②、To train the Ss' abilities of working in pairs . 3、Moral object: ①、To enable the Ss to be friendly to the animals. ②、To enable the Ss to look after their pets well.

Fifth:Teaching important points; words :fox、 lion、 wolf. phrases:polar bear、 bamboo shoots .

Sixth:Teaching procedures I'll finish this lesson in four steps Step1:Warm-up Free talk between the Ss Such as : Do you still remember the story of Xi Wang?         What problems may giant pandas meet in their lives?  What actions can we take to protect them? Step2:Presentation. I'll use the teaching pictures to help Ss learn the words ,encourage them to read the words loudly and remember the words quickly. Step3:Game Play guessing games e.g :The wild animal、like a horse、 with black and white stripes on its body. Step4:Practice “Task-based ”teaching method is used here to develop the Ss’ abilities . Make the students work in pairs and choose the food for each animal. That's all .Thanks.
