Good News and Bad News
Today is the first day that my daughter went to school. She is four years old. In the afternoon my husband left me a note: "Hi, honey. The good news is that Amanda got through her first day at school. The bad news is the teacher wants to meet with us."
"The good news is that she bit（咬） a boy but the parents of the boy aren't suing（起诉）. The bad news is that he had to go to the doctor because of it and we'll be paying the bill（付账）."
"The good news is that once we see her teacher, the school will accept Amanda back. The bad news is that she decided to drop out（退学）. Have a good day."
好消息和坏消息
今天是我们四岁的女儿上托儿所的第一天，下午丈夫去接她之后，给我留言道：“嗨，亲爱的。好消息是阿曼达度过了她在学校的第一天。坏消息是老师想见我们。”
“好消息是被她咬了一口的那个男孩的父母没有起诉，坏消息是他因此得去治疗伤口，而我们得付医疗费。”
“好消息是见了老师后阿曼达可以去上学了。坏消息是阿曼达不愿上学了。祝你愉快。”
