灵活运用身体部位词

　　同学们,我们已经学过不少表示身体部位的单词.这些常用单词用法非常灵活,不仅可指人的部位,还可以指物体的某个部位。

　　以eye为例,the eye of a needle(针),这里的eye指的是针尾上的小孔:针眼。the eye of a flower,花的眼?不,这里指花蕊。

　　不仅eye,而且mouth, lip(嘴唇),nose, hand, leg, foot...都可以灵活运用。请看the mouth of a river(河口);the lip of a cup(茶杯沿);the nose of a car(车头)。

　　下面我再举几个例子,请你来猜猜它们的意思。

　　1. the hand of a hammer(锤)

　　2. the leg of a table

　　3. the foot of a wall

　　4. the hand of a clock
